![]() ![]() ![]() The problem is not the games them self or gamers, but the PR and devs. Your idea of "fun" will then be forgotten and all you will be left with is unchanging games and ideas that no one cares about because all people see is the culture that such games breed: arrogance, contempt, and vanity. Result? They in turn alienate you and you fade away into obscurity. The saddest part? By alienating the tastes that these other, "newfag consoletard" gamers have, you are in a sense suggesting that no new games are worth trying because your idea of fun is somehow more valid than their idea of fun. For you to then say that they are part of a "decline" by liking "dumbed down" when judging what is fun and what is not fun is purely subjective is nothing more than petty arrogance. Regardless of whether their reasons are entirely correct, it can not be argued that said person does not find the game fun. There are some who will say that Fallout 1 is boring trash and uses archaic design. Is Fallout 1 a good and fun cRPG? Yes? Is it a fun game? Depends on the person you ask. Yes, older gamers are the problem and are the source of the decline. However, this slowly becomes the flaw of older gamers. ![]()
